All-Purpose Balm VS. Lip + Cheek Balm

All-Purpose Balm VS. Lip + Cheek Balm

Many people don’t know which product to go with when deciding between our All-Purpose Balms and our Lip + Cheek Balms. They are very similar but have one key difference – Beeswax.

Our Lip + Cheek Balms contain significant amounts of beeswax to make it a thicker formula, hence why people like to use it on their lips. Despite this thick consistency, we say you can use it on your “cheeks” because it is an incredible moisturizer/moisture barrier. When using it all over the skin, Lip + Cheek Balms are better suited as an undereye moisturizer, for protecting yourself in harsh weather (cold, wind, heat, etc.), or as a thick treatment overnight or on a lazy day. Using it out in the cold weather is my personal favourite because the balm quite literally freezes to create a barrier between your precious skin and the extremely dry weather.

Our All-Purpose Balms differ from the Lip + Cheek Balms because they lack beeswax, making it a thinner, more malleable formula. I recommend using the balms when you are looking for a general face moisturizer or something for the body as it is an easier application and it takes less time to be absorbed into the skin. For the girlies: it is also a great base to use under your makeup. All-in-all, an All-Purpose Balm makes the perfect everyday general moisturizer.
