Lip + Cheek Balm: Unscented

Made with Alberta grass-fed suet tallow, this thick balm works wonders for cracked lips, under your eyes, as a thick moisturizer, on your face to protect yourself from harsh weather, or for cracked hands. It is unscented, meaning that it contains no essential oils, making it ideal for those with extremely sensitive skin. Though not overpowering, it still has a natural scent of tallow and beeswax.

This formulation takes all the benefits of our All-Purpose Tallow Balm while adding extra properties to thicken it up and seal in moisture. It not only gives instant relief, but it also works to heal your skin. The beeswax acts as a humectant, meaning that it attracts and locks in moisture.

Instructions: Use as a lip balm, as a balm for cracked hands, as an undereye cream, a thick moisturizer, or to protect your face from extreme cold, wind, or heat. A little goes a long way!  Ensure that you store your balm between 18 and 23 degrees Celsius. Storing it at high temperatures can cause it to melt and potentially lose its original consistency.

Grass-fed Alberta Suet Tallow
Grass-fed Suet Tallow is another word for purified beef fat. It is used in skincare because it has similar properties to our skin’s natural sebum and is rich in oleic acid. This means that it is highly compatible with absorbing into our skin on a cellular level, making it incredibly hydrating and nourishing. When prepared properly it is also non-greasy.

Its balancing properties also make it beneficial for conditions related to oily skin because it helps regulate our sebum to prevent breakouts.

Beeswax
Beeswax is beneficial for the skin because it creates a protective layer over the skin while also acting as a humectant, meaning that it both attracts and locks in moisture. It is used in skincare to lock in the moisturizing and beneficial properties of the product and keep the skin hydrated and nourished over longer periods of time. It is also non cosmogenic meaning that it does not clog pores.
