This balm is everything you could ever want it to be. It can be used as an everyday moisturizer or slathered on at night as a nourishing sleep mask. It is packed with therapeutic ingredients of Alberta grass-fed suet tallow, rose, calendula, and chamomile-infused organic extra virgin olive oil, raw honey, beeswax, rose, neroli, and blue tansy. Whether you suffer from dry skin, eczema, acne, oily skin, or other ailments, this balm helps bring your skin’s barrier back into balance. All-in-all, the formula works to promote radiant skin, healing it from the inside out, while also sealing in moisture for the feeling to last all day and night.
Instructions: Apply in the AM or PM. A little goes a long way! Ensure that you store your balm between 18 and 23 degrees Celsius. Storing it at high temperatures can cause it to melt and potentially lose its original consistency.
Ingredients: Alberta grass-fed and finished tallow, raw honey, organic cold-pressed extra-virgin olive oil, beeswax, rose damascena (rose otto) oil, citrus aurantium var. amara (neroli) oil, tanacetum annuum (blue tansy) oil, matricaria chamomilla (chamomile), calendula officinalis (calendula), rosa rubiginosa (rose), grapefruit seed extract
Key Ingredients:
Grass-fed Alberta Suet Tallow
Grass-fed Suet Tallow is another word for purified beef fat. It is used in skincare because it has similar properties to our skin’s natural sebum and is rich in oleic acid. This means that it is highly compatible with absorbing into our skin on a cellular level, making it incredibly hydrating and nourishing. When prepared properly it is also non-greasy.
It is ideal for those on both ends of the skin spectrum:
It benefits those with skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, rashes, burns, scarring, and dry skin, because it restores the skin’s natural barrier to bring it back into balance and harmony.
Its balancing properties also make it beneficial for conditions related to oily skin because it helps regulate our sebum to prevent breakouts.
Raw Alberta Honey
Honey has been consumed as a nutrient powerhouse since ancient times. Though most think of it as just a sweet treat, it has several properties that benefit the skin: It has natural wound healing properties, it is deeply moisturizing, it helps lighten scars, it adds a natural glow/brightens skin, it is a gentle exfoliator, and an anti-inflammatory. All these properties make it a no-brainer addition to our skincare line. We used raw unheated honey to maintain a stable and rich vitamin and mineral profile in our product.
Tanacetum annuum (blue tansy) oil
Blue tansy is from the chamomile family. This luxurious oil soothes skin from conditions such as eczema, acne, psoriasis, and other inflammatory issues that contribute to irritation and premature aging. It also has a pleasant aromatic scent that helps relieve stress and promote relaxation.
Citrus aurantium var. amara (Neroli) Oil
Neroli is a therapeutic oil that is distilled from the bitter orange flower. It is used in our products for both its scent as well as its healing properties. Its scent is known to reduce cortisol levels in the brain. It is also very hydrating, re-energizing, and helps heal the skin with issues such as sensitivity, sun damage, dry skin conditions, acne, and scarring as it boosts the epidermis’ natural processes and helps balance out sebum production.
Rosa damascena (Rose Oil) and Rose Petals
Roses are known as a very therapeutic ingredient in skincare. The scent alone is one of the more soothing and romantic ingredients used in aromatherapy. Beyond that, rose petals work to bring your skin peace. They soothe sensitive skin, are rich in vitamin A and C, work as an anti-bacterial, help minimize age spots, boost collagen production, strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier, are high in antioxidants, and contain anti-inflammatory properties.
Calendula officinalis (Calendula) Flowers
Calendula flowers are native to the Mediterranean region. These flowers have become more common in holistic skincare as they have antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial properties. These properties make calendula flowers very therapeutic for those suffering from conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and other ailments rooted in inflammation and a disrupted skin barrier.
Chamaemelum nobile (Chamomile) Flowers
While chamomile flowers have a wide range of benefits for the skin, the main benefits that Simply Savoured has targeted this ingredient for is the soothing and calming effect it has. Its properties soothe the senses and alleviates redness and inflammation
Having worked in the natural skincare industry I have tried countless brands, of varying price points, and nothing has loved my skin as much as this balm has. You can almost feel the thoughtful intention behind each ingredient which creates this luxurious hydration on your skin. I look forward to using it everyday because my skin finally feels hydrated (dry Alberta weather...) and I can trust it to tackle any inflammation that arises without having to worry. I am so grateful that you have created this alchemical masterpiece!
I have mature skin and have been applying the Radiance Balm before bed after cleansing. I am so impressed with the “glow” I have when I wake up in the morning. This balm does so much more than it claims. My skin is smooth, clear, fresh and radiant. I am on my second jar!
